John Coven recently completed his sixth short film, “Caller Unknown,” for producer Sam Raimi and Ghost House Pictures. John’s previous work includes "Repossessed," a ghost story starring Academy Award nominated actress JoBeth Williams (“Poltergeist,” “The Big Chill”) and Juliet Landau ("Ed Wood," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"). In addition to writing and directing shorts, John has penned feature film scripts for the Sci-Fi Channel, Millennium Films, Hill & Brand Entertainment, Nu Image, DelMar Productions and Cineville. John also maintains a career as a leading Hollywood storyboard artist. With over 50 feature films to his credit, including “3:10 to Yuma”, “X-Men,” “Walk the Line," and “The Usual Suspects,” John has worked with such legendary directors as Bryan Singer, Wim Wenders, Bruce Barrisford, James Mangold, and Ben Stiller. He also teaches illustration and filmmaking at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and the Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles.
